Ryan Promotes Jon Graham to President of Australia

SYDNEY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ryan, a leading global tax services and software provider, today announced the promotion of Jon Graham to President of its Australian operations. In his new role, Mr. Graham will lead the Firm’s Australian team, further developing key strategic initiatives for client service, and direct Ryan’s organic and inorganic growth in the region.

Following Ryan’s recent acquisitions of Indirect Tax Solutions (ITS) and TCF Services, which significantly expanded Ryan’s Australian client service offerings, Mr. Graham has been assembling a world-class team to support these efforts. Joining Ryan as part of the ITS integration in November 2020 and formally holding the role of Principal and Chief Operating Officer for Ryan Australia, Mr. Graham has overseen and provided exceptional leadership to all indirect tax practices in the region. His contributions over the last year have resulted in rapid growth for Ryan in the Australian market to date.

“Jon Graham has played a significant role in Ryan’s Australian growth strategy and operational excellence,” said Ryan’s President of European and Asia-Pacific Operations Jon C. Sweet. “As we continue to rapidly expand our market presence and client base, his leadership will be instrumental in developing our capabilities to manage that growth effectively, adding value to Ryan and our clients. Ryan is committed to enhancing and expanding our service offerings in Australia, and the appointment of Jon in this role is a major step toward that goal. Clients can take comfort knowing that our Australian team has deep local knowledge backed by an industry-leading global platform.”

“We have invested heavily in our Australian operations over the last 12–18 months with the acquisition of two leading companies, gaining a number of strategic leaders and highly seasoned tax professionals,” said Ryan Chairman and CEO G. Brint Ryan. “With his aptitude, knowledge, and experience in the industry, Mr. Graham is the ideal choice for this role and well positioned to lead Ryan’s Australian operations in this capacity.”

Mr. Graham has more than 30 years of experience advising clients on global indirect taxes, having held leadership positions at a big four accounting firm, including Asia-Pacific Indirect Tax Practice Leader. He is now fully equipped with the tools to lead Ryan in Australia, continuing our growth strategy in the region, while developing greater comfort and trust between the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and companies operating in Australia.

“I am excited to take on this prestigious role and continue to evolve Ryan’s Australian operations in the region,” said Mr. Graham. “Our comprehensive range of solutions and our growing team of experts are now better positioned than ever to meet the needs of our clients, providing the capabilities to help their businesses maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of their tax functions.”
