Jeremy Curley promoted to Senior Director

BALTIMORE & SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JMI Equity (“JMI”), a growth equity firm focused on investing in leading software companies, today announced the promotion of Randy Guttman to General Partner, Chief Operating Officer, from his previous role of General Partner. As Chief Operating Officer, Guttman will continue to oversee JMI’s firm operations and advise on strategic initiatives and investments. Additionally, JMI announced the promotion of Jeremy Curley to Senior Director. In his new role, Curley will continue to help JMI portfolio companies identify and implement strategic and operational initiatives.

Guttman, who is based in Baltimore, oversees JMI’s firm operations. He was promoted to General Partner in 2017 and previously oversaw JMI’s finance and accounting functions, having been appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2013. Prior to joining JMI in 2007, Guttman was a senior associate in the assurance and advisory business services practice of EY. He is a certified public accountant and received a BS in Accounting and Finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Curley, based in San Diego, works with JMI portfolio companies to identify and implement strategic and operational initiatives. He is a board observer at Lytics, Raptor Technologies, SOCi and Swiftly. Prior to joining JMI in 2018, Curley was the vice president of growth operations at Navicure, a former JMI portfolio company. Curley holds a BA in Managerial Economics and Computer Information Systems from Stonehill College and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
