InfluxData Brings Kubernetes Expertise to KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2021

Silver sponsor and one of the largest Kubernetes users to show use cases through onsite sessions

SAN FRANCISCO--()--InfluxData, creator of the leading time series platform InfluxDB, today announced it will sponsor and exhibit at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2021, which takes place October 11-15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. InfluxData experts will be onsite at booth #S62, conducting live demonstrations and answering questions on its Kubernetes use case, including how to expedite Time To Awesome™ with Kubernetes deployments. InfluxData is a Silver sponsor of the event.

“Our customers are building applications that are increasingly reliant on multi-cloud, multi-region strategies, but managing data between regions and across cloud providers is cost and time prohibitive,” said Rick Spencer, Vice President of Platform at InfluxData. “By building InfluxDB Cloud on Kubernetes as a cloud abstraction layer, we can ensure our customers have computing resources wherever they need them, regardless of where their data resides. With thousands of organizations using InfluxDB Cloud, Kubernetes enabled us to scale our platform in a way no other technology available today can.”

InfluxDB Cloud is one of the largest commercially available services utilizing Kubernetes. InfluxData leverages Kubernetes as the core orchestration layer to create and deliver InfluxDB Cloud across 10 global cloud clusters among AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. With Kubernetes, InfluxData can give customers the serverless experience they desire in a way that wouldn't be possible without the orchestration.

InfluxData's Kubernetes experts will host and participate in a variety of sessions throughout KubeCon + CloudNativeCon and its co-located events. Sessions include:

  • From Villains to Heroes: How an Improved DX Has Made Our Devs Happy-ish: InfluxData Engineering Manager Patricia Gaughen and Senior Software Engineer Ana-Maria Calin will speak at DevX Day, co-located with KubeCon + CloudNativeCon, about the way developers can test application code deployed with Kubernetes. The virtual session will take place on Tuesday, October 12 from 1:20 p.m. - 1:50 p.m.
  • GitOps Computing panel: InfluxData’s Rick Spencer will participate in a panel that explores how cloud-native technology has advanced GitOps with executives from Red Hat and Weaveworks. The session will take place on Wednesday, October 13 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Rapid Development with InfluxDB: InfluxData Software Engineer Zoe Steinkamp will host live demos showcasing the ease of use for developers to target InfluxDB for their application backend. Demos will take place at InfluxData’s booth daily from Wednesday, October 13 through Friday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. PT.
