Legal & General Retirement America Reaches 100,000 Annuitants Milestone, Continues Best-In-Class Customer Service

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Legal & General Retirement America (LGRA), a leading provider of pension risk solutions in the U.S., today announced it has surpassed the milestone of servicing 100,000 annuitants. This comes just six years after the company’s founding and continues a period of remarkable growth and best-in-class customer service.

“Year-in and year-out we strive to provide the best customer service in the industry and today’s milestone is further proof that we’re doing something right,” said George Palms, president of LGRA. “Even as we’ve grown, we have never—and will never—lose sight of the people we serve.”

Joe Oberheuser, vice president and head of operations at LGRA added, “Companies are increasingly looking for PRT partners that will provide the smoothest transition and the best care for their participants. We’re finding that our ability to consistently provide that is increasingly a major factor in our clients’ decision to work with us. Put simply: they enjoy working with us, they value the service we provide and the relationships we maintain.”

LGRA was founded in 2015 and is rooted in the nearly 200-year-old history and deep experience of its parent company, Legal & General Group, which is one of the world’s largest insurance and investment management groups. Since inception, LGRA has written over $5bn in new business in the U.S., servicing participants from a variety of sectors and industries.

Through it all the company has administered and delivered the highest level of customer service, with an approach that is regularly praised by both plan sponsors and annuitants. All of LGRA’s administrative functions are performed in-house within the U.S. which allows it to be nimble and highly responsive to the unique needs of its clients and the annuitants it serves. As of Q2 of 2021, LGRA boasted an average call center rating of 4.95 out of 5 stars and an NPS score of 81.
