Afterburner Music Festival, the Official After Party of the Airshow, Debuts Oct. 1 and 2

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--What: Pacific Airshow will blast into Huntington Beach, Oct. 1-3. This year’s Airshow will be bigger than ever with all three North American jet teams – U.S. Navy Blue Angels, Canadian Forces Snowbirds and now the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, appearing together for only the second time in history.

Afterburner Music Festival, the Official After Party of Pacific Airshow and the first live music event to take place on Huntington City Beach since 2013, plans to turn up the afterburner 2-nights in a row. Headlining on Friday, October 1 will be Sammy Hagar & The Circle joined by jam band Umphrey’s McGee and 90’s Rockshow. Saturday night performances include Sam Hunt, X Ambassadors and Cassadee Pope.

Ocean Cup will start the weekend with world class offshore race boats set to compete in a world record race from the Huntington Beach Pier around Catalina, beginning at 7am on Friday, Oct. 1. The same boats will be on display in downtown Huntington Beach Saturday, Oct. 2 7am – Sunday, Oct. 3.

When: The family-friendly Airshow will take to the skies from approximately 10:00am – 4:30pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1 - 3. Tickets ranging from GA to VIP are available here. The festival area at Pier Plaza featuring awesome military activations will open from 9am - 5pm all three days.

Friday, Oct. 1:

  • 7am – World Record Ocean Cup Race – offshore race boats to race from Huntington Beach pier around Catalina Island for a world record attempt.

At the Airshow: Media are welcome to come to the show, Oct. 1 - 3, to photograph/video from the beach. Show center is located at Huntington Street and Pacific Coast Highway for the best view.
