Notarize Appoints Lisa Kalscheur as Chief Marketing Officer

Formerly CMO at Kibo, Kalscheur will lead the Remote Online Notarization Leader Through Future Growth and Expansion

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today Notarize, the pioneer and market leader in Remote Online Notarization (RON), announced the appointment of Lisa Kalscheur who will be the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer. Lisa was most recently CMO of Kibo, a growth-stage Vista Equity Partners company, where she led marketing during a period of record growth. Lisa has a long history of building high-performing marketing teams for technology companies such as Monetate, NewsCred and AppNexus.

Lisa joins Notarize at a key moment of the company’s growth. In the last 18 months, the world rushed to digitize, and transactions previously conducted in-person moved online. As a result, Notarize’s business skyrocketed more than 600%, the company was named #114 on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest Growing Companies and continues to experience rapid adoption across real estate, financial services and other industries. In her role at Notarize, Lisa will oversee an expansive marketing function that includes brand, product marketing, performance marketing, demand generation, communications and ecommerce. Lisa’s leadership will be pivotal as the company scales to meet the demands of current and future customers, from individuals to global enterprises.

"Lisa brings tremendous experience building market-leading brands through global marketing and communications efforts. She’s joining Notarize at an important inflection point of growth and demand," said Pat Kinsel, founder and CEO of Notarize. "We're thrilled to have her join us and look forward to her enthusiasm and expertise, which will be invaluable as we continue to serve people during life’s most important moments.”

“Notarize is disrupting an age-old process and bringing numerous industries into the digital era for the very first time. The momentum the team has built, in the face of a global pandemic, presents a thrilling opportunity to build a globally-recognized brand. I’m excited to work alongside such a bright, dedicated and passionate team,” said Kalscheur.

In her previous roles, Lisa has delivered company revenue by building and leading diverse, agile teams of top-performing marketers. She has led several companies in scaling to growth and acquisition. Lisa led Monetate as CMO through its acquisition by Kibo’s Vista Equity Partners, scaled AppNexus as VP of Marketing, acquired ultimately by AT&T, and led ad tech pioneer Quigo as Head of Marketing during its acquisition by AOL.

Lisa frequently speaks at industry conferences on building company and customer brands, as well as organizational culture initiatives including women in the workplace and DEI.
