Revolutionizing Access to Justice: Introducing LegalShield’s Enhanced Mobile App

ADA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LegalShield, the leading provider of tools and services that affordably protect and empower people to live a just and secure life, today announced the launch of a new mobile app experience that makes it easier for everyone to obtain legal counsel on a wide range of personal and business legal issues. In a manner similar to telemedicine, the new LegalShield mobile app experience connects members to LegalShield network lawyers who provide advice, counsel, and legal services.

“Our extensively upgraded mobile app is based on feedback from thousands of our members and LegalShield partner law firms—we asked what we could do better, listened intently, and responded with enhancements designed to delight users,” said Arnold Blinn, LegalShield CTO. “This release is a big step toward realizing our company vision to build a world where access to justice and security is equal for every human — regardless of gender, race, orientation, education, social status, or personal wealth.”

For less than a dollar a day, using the LegalShield mobile app, members can now schedule consultations at their convenience with LegalShield network lawyers directly though the app. To streamline a member’s request for legal assistance, they choose an area of law—for example, estate planning, traffic, or employment —and will be guided through the process step by step with follow-up questions and simple options to take away the complexity and worry that consumers typically experience with law firms. Requests can be submitted for any matter, and the member will receive a consultation from a LegalShield network lawyer at the member’s chosen time or within four business hours. For some legal services, like representation for a pre-existing issue, bringing a lawsuit or defense against a DUI, members receive a discounted hourly rate guaranteed to be at least 25% off average public published rates.

Members can upload files, including images and videos, to support legal consultation requests. Examples include photos from an auto accident, or damaged product purchased online; a bite inflicted by a neighbor’s dog; or a threatening letter from a housing association. LegalShield member plans cover the member, member’s spouse, and dependents. Spouse and dependents can be easily added to the plan and access their own instance of the experience through the app’s new “invite” feature.

These latest enhancements are now combined with popular existing features like the ability to upload traffic tickets, create Wills, and 24/7 emergency access to provider lawyers for covered issues.

The LegalShield mobile app is now available to everyone via Google Play and the App Store.
