Additional Fiber Internet is Coming to Elyria Area from Kinetic

ELYRIA, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kinetic announced plans to expand fiber internet in Elyria and the surrounding community. In addition to the approximately 19,000 locations that have gigabit service today, the company is expanding the fiber buildout to an additional 3,250 locations over the coming months. The fiber investment will power broadband, voice, productivity and entertainment services with unparalleled speed and reliability.

This investment gives residents and businesses in the area access to fast, reliable fiber to navigate the internet safely from home with no lag times while they work, attend school or stream entertainment services. Kinetic is embarking on a $2 billion, multi-year construction initiative to dramatically expand gigabit internet service by deploying fiber across its 18-state footprint. The company is proud to name the Elyria community as a market in Ohio for this premium investment.

Engineering for the project is ongoing, and Kinetic is staffing up its construction crews to begin the work later this year. Residents of North Ridgeville and Lagrange will see crews working on fiber roll-out in their areas in the coming months.
