Principles, A Ray Dalio Company, Launches the Dot Collector® App for Zoom

Dot Collector Enables Real-Time Feedback to Enhance the Zoom Meeting Experience

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Principles, a people management software company founded by investor and entrepreneur Ray Dalio, today announced the launch of a free, introductory version of its product—the Dot Collector app for Zoom— delivering an embedded experience accessible within Zoom Meetings. This new in-product app is now available in the Zoom App Marketplace, which hosts 1,400+ third-party integrations that extend the power of Zoom’s industry-leading video communications platform.

The Dot Collector app for Zoom is a real-time feedback and polling tool that helps teams be more effective in Zoom meetings. "Dots" are moments of micro-feedback that are systematically collected, shared, and saved for each user to improve individual and collective performance, in the moment and over time. By turning colleagues into coaches, the Dot Collector helps teams create a culture of continuous development while empowering collaboration and inclusivity, building trust, and creating transparency.

“Accurate, transparent feedback is the key to improvement and growth,” said Ray Dalio, founder of Principles and Bridgewater Associates. “For nearly a decade, we've been developing tools at Bridgewater to help individuals and teams realize their full potential, and I'm incredibly excited to now be making the Dot Collector available for free to other organizations.”

“We’re so excited to team up with Ray Dalio and the Dot Collector,” said Ross Mayfield. Product Lead, Zoom Apps & Integrations, Zoom. “This integration allows people to give and get real-time feedback during a Zoom meeting, which can be so valuable for building connections as a team.”

The Dot Collector app for Zoom comes on the heels of Principles’ recent launch of the PrinciplesYou personality assessment. An integrated version of the Dot Collector and PrinciplesYou for business (PrinciplesUs) is available to organizations that license the full Principles Enterprise Tools suite.

Dot Collector and the broader Principles platform systematically capture data across an organization and turn that data into people intelligence to:

  • Help individuals and teams operate more effectively,
  • Inform organizational decision making, such as placing people in the right roles and assembling high performance teams, and
  • Allow companies to reimagine employee reviews.

Zoom users can enable the free Dot Collector app for Zoom directly from within the Zoom interface or download it from the Zoom App Marketplace.
