SecurID to Highlight Identity Innovations Accelerating Government’s Cloud-First Initiatives at RSA Public Sector Day

  • SecurID enables public agencies to support government workers with modern, secure multi-factor authentication

BEDFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SecurID, the trusted identity platform, will join experts from across every level of government to discuss the issues at the forefront of public sector IT and security at RSA Public Sector Day 2021. During the virtual event, SecurID will highlight the importance of identity for public agencies that are accelerating their cloud journeys, using a range of authentication options, and advancing zero trust architecture to manage identity security.

“SecurID’s solutions support every level of government, allowing public agencies to deliver essential services to communities across the country. From promoting national security to maintaining continuity in the midst of the pandemic, I’m thrilled to join my SecurID colleagues at RSA Public Sector Day 2021 to learn how we can help government agencies address their identity and access management needs,” said Kevin Orr, President, RSA Federal.

RSA Public Sector Day 2021 will spotlight how authentication, access management, and identity governance can help public agencies harness cloud innovations to achieve their missions and prevent against sophisticated cyber threats, including ransomware and supply chain attacks.

Like many private organizations, government agencies are at different stages of their cloud journeys and need trusted partners that can help them secure their assets today and build toward expanded capabilities over the long-term. SecurID’s solutions can assist government agencies work through those changes: government agencies can use SecurID to safeguard whatever they need to protect – including SaaS applications, on-premises infrastructure, etc. – however they want to protect it – including passwordless, push-to-approve, device biometrics, FIDO, hardware and software tokens, and more.

These capabilities can help government agencies and other public sector organizations transform their work securely. In November 2020, SecurID Access received “In-Process” status from the Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). This designation, sponsored by the U.S. Census Bureau, indicated that SecurID was on its way to secure access for federal agencies and public sector organizations in the cloud.

In February 2021, the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board (FedRAMP JAB) prioritized SecurID Access for a slot to receive a Provisional Authorization to Operate (P-ATO). Together, these announcements validated SecurID Access and underscored its value for governmental agencies. SecurID has continued working with FedRAMP to certify SecurID Access for all government agencies and hopes to receive a decision later this year.

RSA Public Sector Day 2021 is sponsored by RSA, Carahsoft, Tenable, and the Coalition of City CISOs. Featured speakers and panelists include:
