Juni Learning Launches Clubs to Explore Common Interests, Spark Inspiration, and Discover New Passions

Company unveils unique learning experiences for kids ages 7-18

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Juni Learning, a leading membership-driven learning platform, today announced its new Clubs environment for students. Clubs are an extension of Juni’s vision to help kids discover who they are and what they can become through personalized learning opportunities and experiences. Driven by students, for students, Clubs connect kids in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where they can explore similar interests within a structure that enables them to dive deeper and learn more than a traditional social network.

This entirely new way to create and foster community between learners builds on Juni’s award-winning instructional platform. Clubs extends learning beyond courses with daily mentorship between kids and instructors from the top universities in the U.S. Now students have the ability to explore new hobbies, learn new skills and make new friends all as part of the Juni experience.

“Clubs bring our community to life in exciting new ways by empowering kids to pursue their passions with like-minded peers and mentors,” said Vivian Shen, co-founder and CEO of Juni Learning. “With Clubs, we offer kids the platform, tools, and mentorship to share what they love, but our students are the leaders. Together, they learn from and inspire each other.”

Room for Discovery

Clubs began as a collaboration between Juni leadership, instructors, students, and parents as Juni doubled down on its mission of discovery and helping kids find their path in life. This mission has become even more important as school curriculums often lack the space to teach kids the practical skills they need or fail to feed interests beyond a cursory level.

“There are hundreds of schools out there, and it’s hard to know at 16 or 17 years old what you want your future to look like,” said Swathi, Juni instructor, Clubs mentor, and student at UC Berkeley. “I’m excited to give students some more insight about things like the college application process, choosing majors, and the college experience.”

To develop learning experiences that matter to kids and their parents, Juni issued an open call, asking what activities and hobbies they were most excited about as well as how they wanted to interact with each other. More than 60 students volunteered to lead clubs and share their interests and talents with the entire Juni community. Their enthusiasm for Clubs has been clear from the start.

“Hearing that I would be able to discuss something that I love with others was just a dream come true to me,” said Grayson, student Club leader. “And when I found out I was a Club leader, what more could I ask for? I can’t wait to get started!”

To date, nearly 1,000 Juni learners have contributed their ideas to the initial Juni Clubs design, submitting new ideas and voting for which clubs they wanted. These early testers and group leaders worked with Juni instructors who volunteered as mentors to build projects and come up with events, activities, and agendas. Students even created TikTok videos advertising their Clubs to get others excited to join. At launch, kids can find Clubs that span interests from art and film, to saving the earth, personal investing, artificial intelligence, debate, and doing good deeds. Clubs offer something for everyone.

“I saw my son be his best self in the Clubs orientation meeting. He was sharing ideas, enjoying time with new friends, and is so excited for what’s to come,” said Laurie Mala, Juni parent. “Juni really thought of everything to make Clubs a wonderful outlet for kids. The team has created an environment that parents can trust as well.”
