Educators Are Invited to the STEM Forward Virtual STEMposium, Presented by STEMscopes on April 10

During the virtual conference, STEM experts will share strategies and tools to help administrators, teachers, and teacher educators advance STEM education in their schools

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With education forever transformed by distance learning, preK-12 educators are searching for ways to navigate today’s STEM instructional needs and tomorrow’s new normal in the classroom. To help administrators, teachers, and teacher educators advance STEM education, Accelerate Learning, the maker of the STEMscopes curriculum, is presenting its first virtual STEMposium, STEM Forward, on Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central time.

The virtual conference will bring together 24 STEM thought leaders from across the country. With the $25 registration fee, participants will receive access to 16 concurrent sessions and a keynote presentation by Dr. Stephen Pruitt, president of the Southern Regional Education Board (Ga.), who will share his insights about “STEM Education and the 4th Industrial Revolution.” Concurrent sessions will span a wide range of topics, from teaching problem solving to encouraging student voices to empowering young women leaders in STEAM. The sessions will also be accessible in a video library for 60 days.

Following the conference, each attendee will receive a complimentary voucher for a Micro Certificate for STEM Teaching from the National Institute for STEM Education. Valued at $78, each Micro Certificate consists of two online courses (three hours each) that will earn a digital badge.

“STEM Forward brings together the knowledge of on-the-ground experts and relevant topics that are top of mind for American educators right now,” said Philip Galati, president and CEO of Accelerate Learning. “We are excited to provide a full day of insights and inspiration from STEM leaders to empower educators to take on the ever-evolving landscape of STEM education.”
