CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center Appoints Rohit Varma, MD, MPH, as Chief Medical Officer

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (CHA HPMC), a member of CHA Health Systems, a global network providing a full spectrum of dynamic healthcare services, announced the appointment of Rohit Varma, MD, MPH, as the chief medical officer.

Varma will continue to serve as founding director of the Southern California Eye Institute, part of CHA HPMC. He is an accomplished physician-scientist, and recognized worldwide as a visionary leader in glaucoma and the epidemiology of eye diseases. Varma is an expert on changes in the optic nerve in glaucoma and is also studying new imaging techniques in the early diagnosis of glaucomatous optic nerve damage. Most recently, he was recognized as an ARVO Gold Fellow.
