Muck Rack partners with Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and International Center for Journalists (ICFJ)

The partnerships are the latest in Muck Rack’s commitment to facilitate the important relationship between journalists and public relations professionals

NEW YORK--()--Muck Rack, the leading public relations management (PRM) platform, today announced partnerships with the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), an organization dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and high standards of ethical behavior, and the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), a non-profit organization with a global network of more than 100,000 journalists.

Together, Muck Rack and the organizations plan to create programming, resources and tools to help journalists face important issues affecting the industry today. The organizations will also use Muck Rack’s relationship management software to manage relationships with their members.

The organizations are the latest additions to Muck Rack’s growing list of partnerships with groups dedicated to serving and enriching the journalism community like the Foreign Press Association (FPA), Online News Association (ONA), Center for Media and Peace Initiatives (CMPI), Native American Journalists Association (NAJA), Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ), Mediabistro, Society for Advancing Business Writing and Editing (SABEW), and many more.

“Since launching in 2009, we’ve been on a mission to provide journalists with free portfolios, tools and resources,” said Muck Rack CEO and Co-founder Greg Galant. “We’re excited to expand our partnerships to better serve journalists.”

As the nation’s most broad-based journalism organization, SPJ is dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and stimulating high standards of ethical behavior across its approximate 6,000 members.

“SPJ is a champion for journalists and we want to help our members increase their contacts, their exposure, and their ability to deliver exceptional journalism,” Muck Rack provides a great tool for journalists to be discovered, and we are excited to partner with them to showcase this and to collaborate on other projects that strengthen journalism.”

For more than 30 years, ICFJ has empowered an unparalleled global network of journalists to produce news reports that lead to better governments, stronger economies, more vibrant societies and healthier lives. ICFJ’s International Journalists’ Network (IJNet.org) delivers the latest on global media innovation, news apps and tools, training opportunities and expert advice for professional and emerging journalists, all in eight languages.

“Through our partnership with Muck Rack, the journalists in our global network will benefit from new tools to showcase their work, connect with publishers, and track the reach of their stories,” said Joyce Barnathan, president of ICFJ. “This is especially important during the pandemic, when it’s so essential to get life-saving information to a broad audience.”

By partnering with top journalist organizations Muck Rack hopes to facilitate the important relationship between journalists and public relations professionals.
