Wasatch Expands Mandate with Superannuation Fund
SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wasatch Advisors, Inc., trading as Wasatch Global Investors, a leader in managing small- and mid-cap equities, announced today it has been awarded a sizable investment mandate by an existing client - one of Australia’s largest corporate superannuation funds. The new allocation is split between the Wasatch Micro Cap Growth-U.S. Strategy and Wasatch Global Select Strategy. This is the first institutional mandate for Wasatch’s Global Select Strategy, an all-cap equity portfolio.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with a valued superannuation client,” said Amelia Kennedy, Vice President of Institutional Business Development for the Asia-Pacific Region at Wasatch. “We are honored by the trust and conviction they have in our approach and to serve as their largest active global equity manager.”
Wasatch has significantly increased its global client base in recent years, most notably in Australia with AUD $1.085 billion in managed assets. The firm’s roots are in U.S. small-cap investing, but its process has proven successful in finding quality companies of all sizes worldwide. In addition to global and regional small-cap strategies, Wasatch also offers concentrated, high-conviction all-cap portfolios like Global Select. Today, ~75% or AUD $814 million in Australian investor assets under management are invested in dedicated global and non-U.S. strategies.
