Guidehouse Named 2020 Greater Washington GovCon Awards Contractor of the Year

Award presented for distinguished financial and operational accomplishments

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Guidehouse, a leading consultancy and solutions provider to the commercial and public sectors, has been named the 2020 Contractor of the Year in the Over $300 million category at the 18th Annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards™ (GovCon Awards), the premier awards event for the Washington area Government contracting community.

The GovCon Awards are co-sponsored by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (Northern Virginia Chamber) and the Professional Services Council (PSC) and intended to honor the exceptional work of the leaders and businesses in the region's government contracting sector. The Contractor of the Year Award is presented to a government contractor in the Greater Washington-area for distinguished financial and operational accomplishments.

“I am truly honored to accept the Contractor of the Year Award on behalf of our business,” said Scott McIntyre, Chief Executive Officer of Guidehouse. “In 2019, with the acquisition of Navigant Consulting, we expanded the firm's presence into complimentary commercial markets. Through this acquisition, our company is uniquely positioned to assist our clients in response to the global pandemic by creating innovative solutions for our commercial clients operating in highly regulated industries and our public sector clients that regulate those industries.”

Guidehouse was also recently recognized as a Great Place to Work-Certified™ Company, with feedback highlighting the organization's overall culture, workplace flexibility and approach to teamwork.

“This award is a testament to the hard work of our team,” added McIntyre. “Since Guidehouse's carve-out from PwC in 2018, our organization has built a strong culture and encouraged teamwork and collaboration. I take immense pride in our employees' tireless commitment to our mission to solve ‘above the fold’ issues and build trust in society. I want to thank Guidehouse employees for their dedication and contributions to this award and thank the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Services Council for bestowing this honor.”

Founded in 2002, the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards honors the leaders and legends of an industry that is vital to society and its citizens.
