  • Deepest selection pool ever for esteemed recognition program which runs every 5 years

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Automotive News today announced that Vitesco Technologies’ North America CEO Sandy Stojkovski is among the publication’s 100 Leading Women in the North American automotive industry. The program recognizes and honors the contributions of women in executive positions once every five years who have had a major and sustained positive effect within the industry and for their company. Stojkovski was named in October 2019 as the North America CEO of Vitesco Technologies, a leading international supplier of modern drive technologies and electrification solutions, which is expected to spin off from Continental in 2021.

“Launching Vitesco Technologies as a standalone company enabling the industry’s transformation toward electrification is a global exercise relying upon our talented team of employees and exceptionally strong leaders,” said Andreas Wolf, CEO of Vitesco Technologies. “Sandy has a command of the North American market as well as deep industry relationships to drive Vitesco Technologies forward in one of our most important regions. We are thrilled she is being recognized for her leadership, dedication and strategic approach to problem solving.”

As CEO for Vitesco Technologies North America, Stojkovski oversees all North American activities for the company. She also serves as Chair of the Board for Vitesco Technologies in the U.S., Canada.

Stojkovski began her distinguished automotive career nearly 25 years ago, collecting broad business experience with corporations ranging in size from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

Stojkovski is also a champion of diversity, equity and inclusion, serving as a board member of Inforum and an executive committee member for Inforum’s AutomotiveNEXT. The organization focuses on accelerating careers for women and removing barriers to increase opportunity.

“While it’s a great honor and feeling of accomplishment to be recognized for one’s contributions, the spotlight Automotive News is shining on this year’s recipients as leading women in automotive will hopefully cast a long shadow in a very positive way to influence the career paths of female students and young female professionals seeking careers in the automotive industry,” Stojkovski said. “I believe in the leadership formula that supports diversity, equity and inclusion in all forms, and it is an element which I intend to drive forward in the success of Vitesco Technologies.”

Stojkovski’s career accomplishments already include leading the successful regional turnaround efforts for a global automotive supplier, co-leading the technology activities for one of the industry’s largest supplier mergers to date, and founding her own advanced technology planning firm which was then acquired by AVL.

Additionally, Stojkovski was named one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 40 Under 40 award recipients in 2012. She was also a semi-finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award. Among her many industry activities, Stojkovski currently serves on SAE’s North American International Powertrain Leadership Committee as well as a CTI Symposium USA Advisory Board member.
