Traction Guest Appoints Alex Elson to Drive Security Integrator Alliances and Spearhead Integration of Employee and Visitor Management Into Global Duty of Care Strategies

Former International SOS Executive Brings Deep Expertise in Security Risk Management

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Traction Guest, a global leader in cloud-based solutions for enterprise visitor management systems (VMS), today announced Alex Elson has joined as Director of Risk Management and Security Integrator Alliances. Elson brings over 20 years’ experience in security risk management working with Fortune 500 companies. His background includes a long tenure as the President of International SOS, an internationally-renowned company dedicated to saving lives and protecting the global workforce from health and security threats. At Traction Guest, Elson will contribute to building out the strategic partner network, expand the security integrator business, and help educate the market on the role of VMS in mitigating risk and enhancing duty of care strategies.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shed light on a critical gap in many global risk management and security programs – namely, the formal consideration of the health and safety of employees and essential visitors. With today’s launch of the Return-to-Work Solution, Traction Guest enables organizations to bridge this gap by using technology to systematically address the health and wellness of their workforce and visitors at the local, national and global levels. This helps companies comply with frequently shifting regulations and corporate mandates while avoiding potential lawsuits, lost revenue and reputational damage. Elson’s expertise in duty of care programs will play an important role in bringing these risk-mitigating solutions to market.

“Visitor management has quickly evolved from a point solution for entry and egress of employees and visitors in the workplace to solving complex health and safety issues for enterprises. There is tremendous ROI for Traction Guest customers when they are able to protect every single person in their company, enforce the same protocols and practices across all sites and geographies and meet global duty of care guidelines,” said Joe Finlayson, VP, Strategy and Alliances at Traction Guest. “We’re thrilled to welcome Alex to the team. His deep knowledge of the security risk management space and global enterprise infrastructure paired with his leadership at International SOS make him an ideal fit as we take our partner business and alliances to the next stage of growth.”

Earlier this year, Traction Guest launched the Catalyst Partner Program, which enables organizations to create and collaborate on connected systems for protecting the health and safety of people in the workplace. Traction Guest also introduced access to its APIs and low-code development platform. As the backbone for building out connected systems – such as integrations between access control systems, watchlists, contractor certifications and workplace dashboards, Traction Guest enables organizations to develop sophisticated flows and scalable, repeatable processes across multiple technologies. Since launching Traction Guest’s Catalyst Partner Program in Summer 2020, the company has experienced significant interest from technology integration and security integrator partners.

“Traction Guest is making bold moves in the enterprise visitor management space. This is a pivotal time for workplace safety and security, and based on my years of experience, I can confidently say that Traction Guest is the missing link for organizations’ duty of care platforms,” said Elson. “I look forward to working closely with this talented team and putting my risk management knowledge to work, helping customers address a myriad of workplace threats and contributing to Traction Guest’s worldwide growth.”
