Sysdig Named a Leader in Container Security and Observability by Independent Research Firm

Report states that the unified security and monitoring approach “is appealing to enterprises seeking to streamline their understanding and protection of cloud native workloads”

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sysdig, Inc., the secure DevOps leader, today announced that Sysdig has been named a leader in security and observability by Information Services Group (ISG), a leading global technology research and advisory firm, in its 2020 ISG Provider Lens™: Cloud Native – Container Services report. Sysdig is the only company to be named a leader in both the Managed Cloud Native Security and Cloud Native Observability Solutions quadrants. Sysdig brings deep visibility and security to address the most critical security, compliance, and monitoring functions, allowing teams to ship cloud applications faster.

According to ISG, “The company’s platform is built from the ground up to work with Kubernetes, providing significant benefits to enterprises seeking to protect their cloud native workloads. Furthermore, Sysdig’s open core business model gives enterprises the benefit of innovation provided by an open-source community, while also enabling them to get the enterprise features, services and support they need to be successful. In addition, the platform boasts a wide variety of integrations with a variety of Kubernetes services, CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.”

Sysdig is the only container security platform to be built on open source. The report highlights the contributions Sysdig has made to open source, including the creation of Falco. Now a CNCF project, Falco was identified by ISG as “the de facto threat detection engine for Kubernetes.”

Sysdig was founded on the belief that innovation is stifled when core technology is controlled by a single provider. Developers within the company continue to create open source tools, along with contributing to Prometheus, ebpf, and other community projects. Sysdig created and maintains PromCat.io, a free curated repository of vetted Prometheus exporters, dashboards, and alerts to monitor any infrastructure, application, and service running in the cloud.

The Sysdig Platform delivers image scanning, Kubernetes and container monitoring, application and cloud service monitoring, runtime security, compliance, threat detection and prevention, incident response, and forensics at scale. By providing granular visibility into container activity, with rich Kubernetes and cloud context, Sysdig allows teams to confidently run cloud applications in production. The SaaS-first security and monitoring platform is available across every major cloud provider, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud.

“The Sysdig’s Secure DevOps Platform combines observability and security, which is appealing to the overwhelming majority of its enterprise customers,” said Jan Erik Aase, director and global leader, ISG Provider Lens Research. “Sysdig has been able to lead in both the monitoring and security spaces, making the robust platform a very competitive solution for companies looking for security, monitoring, or both.”
