Methodology

Phase I - Source: 2020 Study of the U.S. Consumer Contact Lens Market: Online interviews among a national sample of 703 adults ages 40+. The sample included a sub-sample of 512 vision corrected adults (wear eyeglasses and/or contacts to correct or improve their vision). Interviews were conducted from September 12 - November 13, 2019.

Phase II: Online interviews were conducted among a national sample of adults ages 40+ who currently wear multifocal contact lenses, wore them in the past two years but no longer do or express interest in wearing them in the future. All interviewing was done from February 26 - March 16, 2020. A total of 156 interviews were conducted with current wearers; 158 interviews with former wearers; and 310 interviews with prospective wearers.
