Hudson Insurance Group Launches New Commercial Transportation Coverage for Independent Contractors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hudson Insurance Group (Hudson) today announced the launch of its new Commercial Trucking Coverage for Independent Contractors that is now offered through retail producers in select states. Coverage includes Occupational Accident, Contingent Liability, Truck Physical Damage and Workers’ Compensation, as well as Non-Trucking Liability, which is available as of September 1, 2020.

“Commercial Auto is an important area of growth for us and we are committed to providing motor carriers with an array of insurance products for their independent contractors,” said Christopher Gallagher, president & CEO of Hudson.

Hudson has been serving the insurance needs of the commercial trucking industry for the past 25 years, distributing products through both retail and wholesale producers, as well as program administrators. Leveraging technology to deliver best-in-class services sets Hudson apart from its peers in this sector. In this case, Hudson’s new product features superior coverage options, including an easy to use monthly reporting portal for insureds and their brokers to transact business.

“We’re excited to work with retail producers as our business partners for this particular sector of the trucking industry,” adds Chris Homewood, senior vice president and head of Hudson Commercial Auto. “Those who already know Hudson now have another high-quality, competitive product to offer their clients, and those not familiar with Hudson will find our experienced team to be very eager and responsive business partners.”

This new offering is complementary to Hudson’s excess of SIR product for motor carriers, which is also marketed exclusively through retail brokers.
