COVID Health Project’s Customers Address Challenges of Testing for Coronavirus with CHP’s Fast, Reliable Solution

AUSTIN, Texas--()--The relentless coronavirus known as COVID-19 may be wreaking havoc for most of the country’s Institutions of higher learning. But not so much for The University of Texas at Austin (UT) or Lyon College (LC).

That’s because both schools recognized early on in the pandemic that they needed a provider of COVID testing solutions that could not only deliver reliable testing, but also fast results to ensure that those employees who are positive are not needlessly infecting others because of testing delays.

Each independently found CHP.

Earlier this summer, CHP built a team including Dr. Thomas Huard, the former head of Molecular Science at Quest Diagnostics. Recognizing that demand would surge in late summer and early fall, CHP added certified clinical lab capacity by building relationships with existing certified labs and purchasing equipment. This has enabled CHP to provide fast and accurate testing at scale and deliver results within 48 to 72 hours on a secure, HIPAA-compliant web portal.

UT took note and began a pilot with CHP in July. This led to a signed a contract a few weeks later. UT officials praised the relationship and CHP’s role in their efforts to manage COVID-19 in the Austin American Statesman earlier this month. Similarly, LC has drawn attention from the media for its proactive approach to testing as evidenced by an Arkansas television station’s recent profile of the program. (http://archive.tveyes.com/18120/3629039-41266/aab0bd70-de34-4f2c-bb97-ab21d2225303/KTHV_08-17-2020_06.43.57.mp4).

In sum, CHP is making its mark as a unique provider of testing in the national media as well, having been highlighted in USA Today and more recently in 24/7 Sports: https://247sports.com/Article/College-football-2020-season-saliva-coronavirus-test-protocols-turnaround-150543185/

As CHP’s co-founder and Chief Executive Chuck Brady explains, “COVID-19 doesn’t care how big your organization is. It can create human tragedy and economic hardship. CHP is prepared to help all such organizations, whether they are in the field of education, business, local government, and healthcare, transcend this pandemic and minimize the damage.”

“Speedy, reliable COVID-19 testing is the cornerstone of providing a safe environment,” adds Brady. “As the virus spreads, it becomes imperative to know as soon as possible who is positive. CHP is proud to do its part to minimize the human suffering that has become far too prevalent in the United States.”
