Ingram Micro Cloud Appoints Victor Baez as Vice President of Global Cloud Channel Sales and Rony Lerner as Vice President of Engineering

Newest members of Cloud executive leadership team integral to ‘More as a Service’ strategy

IRVINE, Calif.--()--As part of its ongoing mission to fuel the growth of cloud ecosystems, Ingram Micro Cloud today announced the appointment of Victor Baez as vice president of global cloud channel sales and Rony Lerner as vice president of engineering. Baez will be responsible for furthering the company’s global cloud channel strategy, leading the sales team and delivering on growth and revenue goals. Lerner will oversee technical strategy and execution, thought leadership and innovation, intellectual property protection, and research and development.

They join the company’s cloud executive leadership team that is dedicated to curating key technologies and services for channel resellers to build or expand their own cloud ecosystem that is key to fueling the success of global technology startups.

Victor Baez has a successful track record of leading security, cloud and infrastructure technology organizations, most recently at VMware, where he ran worldwide security channel sales after the Carbon Black acquisition. At Carbon Black, Baez and his team built a strong ecosystem of advisory and managed services partners that delivered triple-digit platform sales growth ahead of the company’s IPO. Prior to that, Victor held multiple leadership roles at Microsoft, including the management of worldwide distribution and Indirect Channels. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago.

Equally impressive, Rony Lerner brings a more than 20-year background in software development, security, and product development to Ingram Micro Cloud. Most recently, he served as the vice president of engineering and cloud operations at Cedexis (acquired by Citrix), where he spent the past six years building one of the world largest cloud’s DNS PaaS. Lerner also served as the VP of Research and Development at Tripwire and led the R&D team at Quest Software, overseeing the release of more than 40 products. He graduated from Technion - Israeli Institute of Technology with a B.Sc. in Computer Science.
