BetterUp Recognized as a 2020 Best Workplace for Millennials by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

Second consecutive year BetterUp named to prestigious list

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BetterUp, the global leader in mobile-based professional coaching, has been recognized by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Millennials. This is the second consecutive year BetterUp has earned a spot on the coveted list, which is based on feedback from more than 4.9 million employees working at Great Place to Work-certified organizations.

Companies were evaluated from more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and rewards companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.

“Our mission is to help professionals everywhere pursue their lives with greater clarity, purpose, and passion—and that starts with us. From our founding we have set out to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging at BetterUp,” said Eddie Medina, Co-founder and COO at BetterUp. “Companies thrive when employees have the opportunity to reach their highest potential. Our workplace is now much different than it was at the start of 2020, but our mission and culture is even stronger. We are honored to be recognized by the talented millennials at BetterUp.”

Facilitating a culture and work environment that supports the Whole Person is a top priority at BetterUp, as the Whole Person model underpins its entire platform of enabling human flourishing via evidence-based and scientifically backed one-to-one coaching. For its own employees, BetterUp provides five “inner work” days to focus on personalized growth, access to BetterUp’s industry-leading personalized coaching, funds for learning and development, and other benefits.

BetterUp has seen tremendous growth in 2020 as more companies look to support their teams through new ways of working and learning. In the past year, BetterUp doubled its customer base, adding notable names such as AB InBev to its roster of Fortune 1000 customers. In 2019, BetterUp secured $103 million in its Series C funding—believed to be the largest ever financing round in the burgeoning field of tech-enabled employee coaching, behavior change and wellness.

“For many years, organizations have put forth considerable effort towards attracting and retaining millennial talent,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “The Best Workplaces on this list have created cultures where its youngest employees experience not only an environment where they can grow professionally and personally, but also find a deeper sense of purpose in their work. As we prepare for a large influx of young professionals from Generation Z to enter the workforce for the first time, these organizations have distinguished themselves as the leaders in attracting and developing the leaders of tomorrow.”
