Dollar General Announces 2020 Supplier and Diversity Innovation Summit

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dollar General Corporation (NYSE: DG) today announced plans for its 2020 Supplier and Diversity Innovation Summit, which will be held on September 16. This virtual event will provide companies holding a wide variety of diversity certifications that have not sold products to the Company within the past 18 months with an opportunity to meet with Dollar General merchandise buyers and category managers.

In order to participate, suppliers must hold at least one of the diversity certifications and provide items listed in the categories below:

To apply, interested suppliers, companies and manufacturers may submit their product information at www.rangeme.com/dgsupplierdiversity from Wednesday, July 22 through end of day on Friday, August 7, 2020. Selected companies are expected to be notified via email by Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) of the time of their virtual meeting with a member of the Dollar General merchandising team.

In keeping with the Company’s mission of Serving Others and core values, which include respecting the dignity and differences of others, Dollar General and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation also recently announced a combined $5 million pledge in support of racial equality. These funds are expected to be distributed to national and local organizations focused on literacy, education and racial and social justice.
