Banks to Award $3K in Grant Funds to Mississippi Nonprofit for COVID-19 Assistance

GULFPORT, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Join representatives from Community Bank of Mississippi at a ceremonial check presentation to award, in conjunction with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas), $3,600 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Mercy Housing and Human Development. The funds will be used toward COVID-19 crisis assistance for low- to moderate-income families, COVID-19 program capacity building and assistance in applying for additional grants.

The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 1135 Ford Street in Gulfport, Mississippi. The media is encouraged to attend.

Through the PGP, FHLB Dallas member institutions contribute $500 to $6,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas matches at a 5:1 ratio.
