Guidehouse Names Dave Zito New Chief Growth Officer

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Guidehouse, a leading consultancy and solutions provider to the commercial and public sectors, today announced that Dave Zito, previously the leader of Guidehouse’s Commercial Healthcare segment and a 30-year consulting industry veteran, has been named as the firm’s first chief growth officer.

In his role, Zito is responsible for accelerating enterprise-wide growth by advancing investments in new markets and opportunities, helping develop strategies that result in innovative technology solutions and business process management, and driving large-scale cross-segment collaboration. This includes oversight of the Managed Services and Advanced Solutions business units, along with the Sales, Marketing, and Employee Experience functions at Guidehouse.

Over his career, Zito has assisted hundreds of integrated health systems, community and academic hospitals, and medical groups with system reconfiguration, performance improvement, cost reduction, and post-merger integration. He joined Navigant, which was acquired by Guidehouse in October 2019, in 2003 and was promoted to Commercial Healthcare segment leader in 2005. Under Zito’s leadership, the segment has grown to include more than 2,700 consultants and 1,400 managed services professionals and earned multiple Best in KLAS Awards for Revenue Cycle Outsourcing; Extended Business Office Services; Strategy, Growth, and Consolidation Consulting; and Value-Based Care Consulting.

At Guidehouse, Zito also led development of:

  • A 3,000-person managed services business focused on claims processing for large health systems.
  • Health System Solutions, a joint venture between Baptist Health South Florida and Guidehouse to provide revenue cycle management services to providers.
  • A global consultancy serving the pharmaceutical and medical device market, providing brand strategy, global pricing and market access, reimbursement and regulatory & compliance services.

Zito previously served as an executive in Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s healthcare consulting practice for more than a decade, where he was responsible for a $650 million business unit that included healthcare, financial services, and public sector services.

“Dave Zito has led the growth of our Commercial Healthcare segment from a startup to one of the industry’s leading advisors focused on delivering sustainable, transformation solutions to our clients,” said Scott McIntyre, Guidehouse CEO. “A major contributor to this success is his commitment to a strong culture that aligns around our values and the behaviors expected of every team member, an important attribute I know Dave will carry into his new role.”

In his role, Zito will report to McIntyre.
