Snowflake Announces FactSet Data Now Available on Snowflake Data Marketplace

24 proprietary content sets, including FactSet Fundamentals and Supply Chain, launch alongside third party data feeds from the Open:FactSet Marketplace

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Snowflake, the cloud data platform, today announced that proprietary content sets from FactSet (NYSE:FDS) (NASDAQ:FDS), a global provider of integrated financial information, analytical applications, and industry-leading service, are now available on the Snowflake Data Marketplace.

Data listed includes both proprietary content, including FactSet’s fundamental, point-in-time consensus estimates, geographic revenue, and supply chain data, as well as alternative and third party content available on the Open:FactSet Marketplace. The data sets include information on spending trends, news sentiment, ESG, and more, and are updated hourly to help organizations uncover deeper insights and investment signals.

The Snowflake Data Marketplace, built on top of Snowflake’s Secure Data Sharing technology, delivers an easy to use platform for organizations to find, share, and list content. Clients benefit from being able to combine Snowflake’s sharing capability with FactSet’s proprietary data linking to connect seemingly disparate content sets and discover new ideas. The ready-to-query data also integrates with customers’ own to enable even more valuable insights. The Snowflake architecture, which separates compute from storage, powers the Snowflake Data Marketplace and eliminates the costly, cumbersome, and risky methods of having to move data in order to share or consume it.

“FactSet is committed to delivering the most advanced and flexible technology solutions to support client needs,” said Gene Fernandez, Chief Technology and Product Officer, FactSet. “With the Snowflake Data Marketplace, we’re able to extend access to our proprietary content in an open and sophisticated way that helps clients make full use of it in whatever environment they choose.”

“We’re committed to empowering businesses with secure, fast, analytics-ready data to drive decision-making within their organizations,” said Matt Glickman, VP of Customer Product Strategy at Snowflake. “Organizations across industries can now leverage financial data from FactSet in conjunction with more than 50 other providers on the Snowflake Data Marketplace to get deeper insights to catapult their business forward.”

To start accessing the FactSet data on the Snowflake Data Marketplace, visit the Data Marketplace tab within the Snowflake UI on AWS US West or AWS US East accounts.
