OLD GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WorldQuant, a global quantitative asset management firm, today announced the appointment of Gary Chropuvka as President. Gary will oversee global business strategy, firm operations and priority initiatives, as well as provide additional leadership in firm investment activities. He will join WorldQuant in late 2020.
Gary was at Goldman Sachs Asset Management for more than two decades, where he most recently served as Co-Head of Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS). Gary held other various roles at QIS, including oversight of its customized beta, tax-efficient and alternative risk premia businesses. He also previously served as a QIS Equity Alpha portfolio manager. Gary joined QIS in 1999 to launch the team’s tax-efficient investment strategies after first joining Goldman Sachs in 1998.

Gary graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Mathematics and received a master’s degree in Financial Engineering from Columbia University. He is a CFA charterholder.
