Trex Company Names Dennis Schemm Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

WINCHESTER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trex Company, Inc. (NYSE:TREX), the world’s number-one brand of decking and railing and leader in high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor living products, and a leading national provider of custom-engineered railing systems, today announced that it has named Dennis Schemm to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Schemm succeeds Bryan H. Fairbanks, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, who will assume the position of President and Chief Executive Officer on April 29, 2020. On that date, James E. Cline will move to Chairman of the Board of Directors from his current position as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Schemm has over 25 years of experience as a financial and operating executive at publicly-traded companies. Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Continental Building Products from 2015 until its acquisition by CertainTeed, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, in early 2020. Previously, he held senior financial roles at Armstrong Flooring and Danaher Corporation, following a 15-year career at Monsanto Company.

Dennis Schemm received a BS degree in accounting and computer science from Penn State University and an MBA degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
