TORONTO--()--Facedrive Inc. (“Facedrive”) (TSXV: FD), the first Canadian peer-to-peer, eco-friendly and socially responsible ridesharing network, is pleased to announce the launch of Facedrive Health, an initiative to offer assistance to frontline healthcare workers in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative will be available for all the regions that Facedrive currently operates in.

The Facedrive Health initiative provides the following services to frontline healthcare professionals working tirelessly on the frontlines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

Discounted Rides for Healthcare Professionals – Frontline healthcare workers will be able to secure transportation using the Facedrive app for rides between their homes and healthcare facilities at a discounted price to the standard Facedrive base fare.

Designated Pick-Up Locations – Facedrive has partnered with various healthcare and medical facilities in all our current service areas to coordinate dedicated pick-up locations for the safety and convenience of both our riders and our drivers;

Dedicated “COVID-19 Trained” Drivers – Facedrive has established a driver training program to ensure the safety of drivers and riders. As a part of this program, drivers will be trained in COVID-19 related safety protocols and receive essential safety equipment, including hand sanitizer, gloves, disinfectant spray and face masks, from partner hospitals;

Delivery of Essential Medical Supplies – As part of the Facedrive Health initiative, Facedrive also offers fast and reliable deliveries of over-the-counter medicines and supplies, including vitamins and inhalers, through over drivers. In addition, the Facedrive Health initiative offers ongoing management of medication refills, for users, ensuring that our customers always have the medication they need, while also ensuring appropriate social distancing protocols are utilized.

“The Facedrive Health initiative is designed to ensure that all frontline healthcare workers who need to be mobile have a reliable and efficient way of getting around. We hope that this dedicated service gives hospitals and their medical workers the flexibility to provide optimal healthcare to patients and families suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Facedrive Chief Operations Officer Suman Pushparajah. “We are grateful to all dedicated healthcare workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic, and everything they are sacrificing for their communities.
