Black & Veatch’s Management Consulting Announces New Leadership for Advisory and Planning Practice

Industry expert will help address changing market needs, provide new perspective into analysis, planning

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dynamic developments in technology, sustainability and markets are changing the energy and infrastructure landscape, leaving clients to face all the challenges – and opportunities – inherent with such rapid evolution. To meet these new client needs, Black & Veatch’s Management Consulting business has named Deepa Poduval, Senior Managing Director and Associate Vice President, to lead its Advisory and Planning practice area.

With almost two decades of experience, Poduval assumes her new role as the electric, oil and gas, and water industries turn increasingly complex, including ever-changing economic, technological and policy needs. With modernization on the horizon, utility and financial sector clients are seeking strategic partners who can help them successfully navigate this new environment.

Poduval, a Black & Veatch professional since 2005, brings substantial finance, utility and oil and gas industry knowledge. She has led the company’s oil and gas management consulting practice since 2012, providing strategy, technology and market advisory services. During this time, Poduval led a team that significantly grew profitability, and tripled revenues.

In her new role, Poduval will provide executive management for transaction advisory, rate and regulatory, financial advisory and energy market planning services, while continuing to oversee Black & Veatch’s oil and gas practice area.

“Deepa’s immense experience and professional skill as a leader will help position Black & Veatch Management Consulting for future growth and market expansion,” said John Chevrette, President of Black & Veatch Management Consulting. “She will play a critical role in moving our business forward, while providing strengthened client support during this time of immense transformation and change.”
