Windstream Wholesale Continues to Help Customers Maintain Business Continuity Plans by Enhancing Wave Offerings With Proactive Monitoring and Ticketing

New network health tools give Wave customers insight into network outages with proactive notifications and portal visibility

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Windstream Wholesale, a leading provider of advanced network communications, understands that helping customers maintain their continuity plans is more critical than ever.

Today Windstream Wholesale announced it is launching market-leading network-monitoring tools for wholesale customers of its 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps Wavelength services. The addition of these proactive monitoring and trouble ticketing automation tools will give customers more visibility to a service-impacting event with communication via e-mail and in our customer portal.

Automatically opening trouble tickets based on alarms and providing status to customer support teams working in a NOC or home office environment also brings an added level of operational flexibility. These features enable quicker identification of trouble within the network and accelerate repair times.

“Windstream Enterprise Wave customers have benefited from these intelligent network health features and I’m pleased that we are now extending the offering to our wholesale customers,” said Joe Scattareggia, executive vice president for wholesale sales at Windstream. “Our proactive network health tools will help our Wavelength customers focus on their customers, knowing their mission-critical network is under 24x7x365 protection as they are focused on implementing business continuity plans.

“These automated tools scan the network around the clock, intelligently analyze every alarm, open a ticket if an issue is uncovered, initiate the troubleshooting and repair process, and notify the customer via email,” Scattareggia added. “What’s more, all of this data is visible to the customer through our Windstream Wholesale Customer Portal Tool (CPT).”

Windstream will continue to enhance its online network health tools over the coming months to include logical circuit display with real-time network health and reporting. These tools underscore Windstream Wholesale’s commitment to differentiate itself as a provider of Network as a Service offerings by giving customers greater real-time visibility into the network itself and the assurance of always keeping continuity planning in the forefront.
