MedRisk CEO Promises Job Security During COVID-19 Crisis

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MedRisk’s CEO Mike Ryan has announced that the company will not lay off any of its full-time employees during the COVID-19 crisis.

“There’s no doubt that COVID-19 is hitting workers’ compensation hard, and despite our strong standing in the marketplace and incredible growth over the last few years, we’re not immune. But we have the financial strength and the commitment to weather the storm without layoffs,” said Ryan. “Our full-time employees’ positions are secure.”

The company’s top priorities are employee safety, the continued delivery of excellent customer service, and to ensure that workers’ compensation patients receive high quality care. MedRisk fully deployed its business continuity plan and work from home strategies with no interruption to service levels. The company will continue to operate remotely until its senior leadership is confident that the health threat has passed.

MedRisk plans to maintain extra capacity even as the industry anticipates a downward trend in referrals. The company has reallocated clinicians to serve patients who are receiving its national telerehab service during the coronavirus crisis. Others will take advantage of slower times to accelerate research and development, increase efficiencies and enhance company services.

“We plan to come out of this stronger than before,” Ryan said. “We are doubling down on customer service, expediting provider payments, and counting on colleagues to provide unbelievable service to our customers, providers and the patients they treat.”
