American States Water Company Receives Community Service Award at Fort Bliss

Outstanding Activity Award Reflects Our Commitment to Serving Military Communities

SAN DIMAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American States Water Company (NYSE:AWR) announced today that Fort Bliss Water Services Company, a subsidiary of AWR’s American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS), was presented with an Outstanding Activity Award by military leadership at Fort Bliss for its support to the 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, and the El Paso community.

ASUS strives to live the motto of “Serving Those Who Serve.” The award recognizes Fort Bliss Water Services for its volunteer hours, monetary assistance and other support. ASUS has provided reliable and safe service to Army personnel, their families, and civilians who live and work at Fort Bliss, Texas since 2004. Built in 1847, Fort Bliss is one of the nation’s oldest and largest military installations, spanning 1.2 million acres. ASUS’s services include the operation, maintenance, capital construction and improvements of potable water, wastewater, and treatment systems.
