Travelers Institute to Host Technology, Innovation and Cybersecurity Symposium at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Travelers Institute, the public policy division of The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV), today will host a symposium at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in collaboration with the institute’s College of Computing. The event will focus on the intersection of technology, innovation and cybersecurity and will include a panel discussion about how technology is changing the business landscape for current and future leaders.

“As technological capabilities evolve, so do business risks, which makes it as important as ever for current and aspiring industry leaders to carefully consider their approach to risks like cybersecurity,” said Joan Woodward, President of the Travelers Institute and Executive Vice President of Public Policy at Travelers. “Our programs explore evolving threats and the latest best practices for mitigating them so organizations can better protect themselves.”

The symposium will feature a conversation on leadership in the technology industry with Mojgan Lefebvre, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology & Operations Officer at Travelers, who earned a computer science degree from Georgia Tech. She will also join the panel discussion, moderated by Woodward, along with the following speakers:

  • Jimmy Lummis, Chief Information Security Officer, Georgia Institute of Technology.
  • Edward Chang, Second Vice President, Cyber Risk Management, Bond & Specialty Insurance, Travelers.
