This year’s report states that “the SIEM market grew from $2.319B in 2017 to $2.597B in 2018,” where, ”threat management (and specifically threat detection and response) remains the primary driver, and general monitoring and compliance are secondary.” Gartner analysts Kelly Kavanagh, Toby Bussa, and Gorka Sadowski note that “the greatest area of unmet need is effective detection of and response to targeted attacks and breaches,” to which “the effective use of threat intelligence, behavior profiling and analytics can improve detection success.” The analysts also write that the vendor landscape for SIEM is evolving, with “recent entrants bringing technologies delivering higher levels of sophistication for analytics use cases, and in several cases, cloud-native SaaS offerings.”

Exabeam has continued to demonstrate strong technology and business momentum in the past 12 months. Key 2019 announcements included $75 million in Series E funding, the acquisition of cloud application security company, SkyFormation, and a series of technology enhancements, including the release of Exabeam SaaS Cloud, as well as industry awards.

The Exabeam Security Management Platform (SMP) is a modern SIEM that helps security operations and insider threat teams work smarter. According to a recent Ponemon report, organizations can take advantage of its big data architecture, advanced analytics and automation capabilities to detect, investigate and respond to cyberattacks in 51 percent less time.

“We believe Exabeam’s Leader position in this Magic Quadrant, both in terms of our ability to execute and completeness of vision, validates our approach to building smarter SIEM technology,” commented Nir Polak, CEO, Exabeam. “We’re pleased to be recognized by Gartner as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for SIEM for the second time in a row and will continue to evangelize the importance of behavioral analytics and automation with our security management approach in 2020.”
