Transaction Allows Pioneer to Better Focus Capital, Capabilities and Growth Strategy on Core Retail, Commercial and Industrial Markets

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pioneer Landscape Centers today announced the sale of its Civil Construction division to Wildcat Construction.

“The divestiture of our Civil Construction unit allows us to better focus our capital, capabilities and growth strategy on our core retail, commercial and industrial landscape markets,” said Pioneer CEO Mark Adamson. “A key attraction of the Civil division are the employees who I’d like to thank for their excellent service to Pioneer over many years. We wish them well as they complete their transition to Wildcat.”

Prior to its sale, Pioneer’s Civil Construction division performed a variety of general contracting projects for federal, state, county and private-party customers in Colorado, including CDOT, drainage way remediation, trails and parks, infrastructure and golf courses.

“We’re excited to add an established and respected construction brand to our portfolio of companies in Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma, and look forward to working closely with Pioneer to seamlessly transition Civil Construction customers and employees to Wildcat,” stated company President Roger McClellan.

Wildcat Construction, and its affiliated companies, have offices in Colorado Springs and throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. Wildcat was recently named by the Wichita Business Journal as one of the top five Best in Business companies in the region and has been recognized by numerous media outlets and other organizations for its commitment to safety, company culture, and a top place to work.
