Ian C. Burdette, CFA, CMT Joins Academy Securities as Managing Director, Head of Term Rates Trading

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced the addition of Ian Burdette as Managing Director, Head of Term Rates Trading.

Mr. Burdette brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial industry earned over a 25-year period. Prior to joining Academy, Mr. Burdette was a Senior Managing Director at Tribal Capital Markets, where he contributed to the platform in a variety of roles in Fixed Income and Capital Markets. Before joining Tribal, Mr. Burdette was Managing Director, GSE/SSA Trading at Mizuho from 2011-2018. Mr. Burdette also held positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Federal Home Loan Bank, and Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Burdette will be a Managing Director of the Term Rates desk focusing on term Agency debt including fixed rate bullets, callable bonds, and structured notes, as well as Treasury trading. He will be integral to the Firm’s growing Rates and Agency platform.
