Periscope Holdings Named to the GovTech 100 for Fifth Straight Year

Many state and local governments credit their significant procurement process improvements and positive spend management outcomes to Periscope Holding’s ongoing technology innovation and partnership

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Periscope Holdings announced today that it has been named a GovTech 100 company by Government Technology magazine for the fifth year in a row. The announcement comes after a hallmark year for the company, during which time it launched an exclusive online shopping experience for the public sector – the Periscope Marketplace – and helped state and local government entities such as Oregon, Nevada and MMCAP Infuse transform their procurement functions.

“Periscope Holdings is more than just a procurement technology provider. We are the trusted procurement solutions partner for the public sector,” said Brian Utley, president and CEO of Periscope Holdings. “Together with our customers, we assess and re-engineer both the processes and systems that facilitate procurement, which underpins governments’ operational efficiencies and spend management capabilities. In turn, we’re able to help them achieve dramatically improved procurement outcomes to the benefit of government, local economies and taxpayers.”

Periscope Holdings has also committed extensive resources to the improvement of supplier outcomes in the last couple of years. The company’s supplier application has been completely rebuilt and now leverages machine-learning technology to deliver the most relevant government opportunities to each user. This helps to improve bidding outcomes for private sector businesses and sourcing outcomes for public sector entities. In addition, suppliers have the opportunity to upload their catalogs to the Periscope Marketplace, where state and local buyers can shop and buy their products and services directly, without going through a formal bid process.

The GovTech 100 is an annual list compiled and published by Government Technology as a compendium of 100 companies focused on, making a difference in, and selling to state and local government agencies across the United States. Periscope Holdings has been named to the list each year since the list was established in 2016.
