Peter Kell Joins Promontory Leadership Team in Sydney

SYDNEY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Promontory Financial Group, an IBM Company, today announced that Peter Kell has joined the Sydney office. Bringing Peter on board is part of the firm’s growth strategy for the Australian consulting business.

“Peter brings a deep knowledge of financial services and regulation to the Promontory team,” said Jeff Carmichael, the head of the Promontory Australasian office. “He has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of financial services and markets regulation and risk management.”

Peter was formerly Deputy Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission from May 2013 until December 2018. He was a Commissioner at ASIC from November 2011 until 2013. From 2008 until 2011 Peter was Deputy Chair of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. While at the ACCC, Peter was Chairman of the International Consumer Protection Enforcement Network.
