INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Making the jump from scrappy startup to growth-focused national company is much like the transition from childhood to adulthood. It’s not easy.
Recognizing this, Indiana born and raised tech startup WorkHere, the leading talent sourcing platform for engaging and delivering qualified hyper-local candidates to employers, has added veteran tech leader and entrepreneur Jack Nichols to its Board of Advisors.
Nichols, the vice president of product management for Genesys, has more than 15 years of technical and leadership experience. Much of his street credibility comes from being a member of the leadership team that propelled PureConnect Cloud from $10 million in annual recurring revenue to $100 million. Nichols’ was a crucial part of the business unit leading the creation of the global operations and carrier management teams, infrastructure critical to scaling the company. Most recently Nichols has been a member of the leadership team that has taken Genesys’ public cloud offering, PureCloud, from pre-revenue to a $50 million annual recurring revenue business line.
Given this track record, Nichols is a “Thoroughbred,” says WorkHere CEO and co-founder Howard Bates. “As our company prepares for a national launch, we need the insight of individuals who have ‘been there, done that’ so we maximize the momentum of our journey to national scale with as few missteps as possible.”
Nichols, who also led the global network and security infrastructure function at Brightpoint (now Ingram Micro) and worked with E*TRADE Financial, will advise WorkHere on their product roadmap. This includes product positioning, product refinement based on market dynamics and avoiding pitfalls. Says Nichols, “I’ve learned many lessons the hard way and look forward to helping WorkHere navigate as they grow.”
Nichols is native of Lafayette, Indiana. He earned a B.S. in Information Systems from Purdue University.
