Barclays Appoints Taylor Wright as Co-Head of US ECM

NEW YORK--()--Barclays announces the appointment of Taylor Wright as a Managing Director and Co-Head of US Equity Capital Markets (ECM). Mr. Wright will be based in New York, and will report to Jean-Francois Astier, Global Head of Capital Markets at Barclays.

Mr. Wright has over 30 years of banking and ECM experience, and joins Barclays from Morgan Stanley where he was most recently Head of Financial Institutions and Services ECM. During his more than 24 years at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Wright originated and led more than $250 billion of equity and equity-linked offerings across multiple industries and geographies. Mr. Wright has played key roles in the IPOs of issuers including AXA Equitable Holdings, Bandwidth, BankUnited, Citizens Financial, Endava, First Republic, Hamilton Lane, Korea Telecom, Moelis & Company, Tradeweb, UMC, Voya and Yext, led financing and restructuring transactions for issuers including AIG, Allied Irish Bank, GE, MetLife, State Street Bank and US Bancorp, and was an advisor to the US Department of Treasury during the financial crisis.

Mr. Wright will Co-Head the US ECM business with Kristin DeClark, who joined Barclays from Deutsche Bank in March as Co-Head of US ECM and Global Head of Technology ECM. Ms. DeClark will start at Barclays in June 2019, and will be based in Menlo Park, California.

Barclays is ranked number 5 in US Equity by volume year to date, and number 6 for global fee share in ECM, according to Dealogic. Also year to date, Barclays has served as joint-book runner on four of the five largest US IPOs (Uber, Avantor, Pinterest, and Tradeweb Markets), the two largest IPOs in EMEA (Nexi SpA, and Network International Holdings plc), and six of the eight largest IPOs globally (Uber, Avantor, Nexi, Pinterest, Network International, and Tradeweb).

Mr. Wright will start at Barclays in August 2019.
