The summit will be co-chaired by Laura Kruper, M.D., MS, director of the women’s center; chief of the breast surgery service; associate professor in the division of surgery oncology, department of surgery; and a breast surgeon at City of Hope, and Joanne Mortimer, M.D., associate director for education and training at the comprehensive cancer center, Baum Family professor in women’s cancers, vice chair of and professor in the department of medical oncology and therapeutics research, and director of women’s cancer programs at City of Hope.
This interactive and educational meeting will discuss novel treatments for patients with breast cancer. Expert presenters will delve into informative topics facing breast cancer specialists, oncologists, nurses and other medical professionals, such as management of hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative early-stage disease, updates in metastatic hormone receptor-positive/HER2-negative metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, management of the axilla, the role of radiations in early breast cancer and novel approaches to HER2-positive breast cancer. The presenters will also engage in a peer exchange and address audience questions.
