CURE Media Group Adds the New York Susan G. Komen Foundation to Its Strategic Alliance Partnership Program

CRANBURY, N.J.--()--CURE Media Group, which reaches over 1 million patients, survivors and caregivers across an industry-leading multimedia platform devoted solely to cancer updates, research and education, announces the expansion of its Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program with the addition of the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s local New York affiliate.

In making the announcement, Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of MJH Associates, Inc., parent company of CURE Media Group said, “We are pleased to welcome New York Susan G. Komen foundation to our SAP family. Through this partnership, we look forward to supporting their mission to help breast cancer patients through research and education.”

The Susan G. Komen Foundation works to transform how the world treats and talks about breast cancer. Since 1982 the foundation has contributed more than $988M to research and more than $2.2 billion to education, screening and treatment, serving millions in over 60 countries worldwide. Komen has funded more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit.

Komen Greater NYC’s service area includes roughly 64% of New York State’s population, all within nine unique communities: the Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Kings, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, and Rockland communities – some of the most ethnically, financially, and geographically diverse communities in America.

Susan G. Komen Greater NYC’s CEO Linda Tantawi added, “Despite significant increases in breast cancer survival, breast cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women. The Strategic Alliance Partnership with MJH brings us considerable new reach to women who can be served by our efforts. Komen Greater NYC is deeply committed to ensuring access to screening, treatment and support services to women … particularly those who may prolong seeking help due to cultural barriers. Thanks to the amazing work of our local partners and the generosity of MJH through the Strategic Alliance Partnership we can save more lives.”

The Strategic Alliance Partnership program builds a community of advocacy groups, medical associations and medical institutions fostering collaboration and an open exchange of information for the ultimate benefit of patients and their families. As part of this joint effort, SGK will work with MJH in conducting focus groups, promoting and recruiting for events, use of key opinion leaders, patient outreach, educational activities and more. MJH will support Komen NYC’s efforts through several MJH franchises and our businesses such as Medstro and PER®. The SAP program is designed to facilitate an open exchange of information among trusted peers, with the ultimate goal to improve patient care.
