FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--International Data Corporation (IDC) published its latest Innovators report, IDC Innovators: Artificial Intelligence-Infused Security Solutions, 2018, which profiles three emerging vendors with differentiated security solutions for enterprise customers. The three companies named as IDC Innovators are Cybereason, Deep Instinct, and Vectra Networks.
These companies identified as IDC Innovators have developed the software, platform, and in some cases the services in helping enterprise customers to stay ahead of cyberthreats. The AI-infused security solution is defined as a core security solution that primarily leverages on artificial intelligence technologies, including deep learning, machine learning, knowledge graphs, and so forth, to quickly detect, prevent, and respond to cyberthreats.
"Feeling the pinch to effectively combat the ever-increasing cyberattacks, organizations have turned to AI-infused security solutions that have changed the dynamics of how enterprises identify, prevent, and respond to threats, helping them improving the cyber resilience level and effectiveness of enterprises' entire cyber defense lifecycle by shifting the value propositions and metrics of their security programs," said Cathy Huang, senior research manager for Services and Cloud Research Group at IDC Asia/Pacific.
"Traditionally, security solutions have put massive focus on prevention; recently the new generation of 'intelligent' security solutions are not just playing a role of preventing, but also detecting and responding to cyberattacks in real time," added Huang.
Cybereason leverages its custom built-in memory graph, a proprietary AI platform that does behavioral analytics and analysis on all digital actions happening across the enterprise via the endpoint. The vendor has productized its detection, response, and forensic capabilities into three product offerings.
Deep Instinct emphasizes its unique focus on deep learning techniques to safeguard enterprises against cyberthreats across multiple vectors. It uses a correlated risk model to offer contextualization and can initiate automated remediation if it is determined as a threat.
Vectra Networks leverages its automated and self-learning algorithms to provide real-time detection and response capabilities. It can also score every detection and host in terms of the threat severity and enrich threat investigation and threat hunting scenarios.

About IDC Innovators
IDC
Innovators reports present a set of vendors – under $100 million in
revenue at time of selection – chosen by an IDC analyst within a
specific market that offer an innovative new technology, a
groundbreaking approach to an existing issue, and/or an interesting new
business model. It is not an exhaustive evaluation of all companies in a
segment or a comparative ranking of the companies. Vendors in the
process of being acquired by a larger company may be included in the
report provided the acquisition is not finalized at the time of
publication of the report. Vendors funded by venture capital firms may
also be included in the report even if the venture capital firm has a
financial stake in the vendor's company. IDC INNOVATOR and IDC
