Notable Health Named an IDC Innovator for Enterprise Wearable Software Solutions in Health Care

SAN MATEO, Calif.--()--Notable Health, an artificial intelligence- (AI) powered health care company that automates and digitizes physician-patient interactions, today announced it has been named an IDC Innovator in the report IDC Innovators: Wearable Software Solutions, 2018, which profiled four emerging vendors that have developed software solutions for wearable devices in the enterprise market.

The IDC report highlights Notable Health’s ability to employ a smartwatch to listen to doctor-patient discussions and use AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to parse the conversation down to its relevant pieces and record these in the patient’s file. The company’s technology acts as an “auto-pilot” by leveraging learning usage patterns, and allows physicians to speak directly into their Apple smartwatch, which is interfaced with their electronic health record (EHR), so they can improve data accuracy and minimize interference with patient interaction.

“We designed Notable Health’s technology to act as an assistive platform designed to have an immediate and significant impact on physicians’ clinical workflows and overall wellness. We are honored to be named an IDC Innovator as it supports our mission to provide physicians with sophisticated AI-powered wearable technology that allows them to save time during their day, spend more time with patients, and see more patients each day,” said Pranay Kapadia, co-founder and CEO of Notable Health.

Physicians spend more than 10 hours per week on paperwork and administrative tasks, leading to an increase in physician burnout. Rather than using a PC or tablet, which can interfere with patient interaction and result in incorrect data capture, physicians using Notable Health speak directly into their Apple smartwatch, saving them 70 minutes and 1,000 clicks per day.

“With the use of Notable Health’s technology, physicians in our practice can more easily adhere to quality measures and streamline the routing of orders, while also improving the overall physician-patient experience,” said Dr. Barry Waldman, director of the Center for Joint Preservation and Replacement at the Rubin Institute and a practicing physician at the Center for Advanced Orthopaedics in Baltimore, Maryland. “The wearable technology also allows us to better utilize our existing IT systems, minimize workflow disruptions, and address the overall wellness of physicians.”

To date, Notable Health has raised over $16 million in funding from F-Prime Capital Partners, Oak HC/FT, Greylock Partners, and Maverick Ventures.

About IDC Innovators

IDC Innovators reports present a set of vendors—under $100 million in revenue at time of selection—chosen by an IDC analyst within a specific market that offer an innovative new technology, a groundbreaking approach to an existing issue, and/or an interesting new business model. It is not an exhaustive evaluation of all companies in a segment or a comparative ranking of the companies. Vendors in the process of being acquired by a larger company may be included in the report provided the acquisition is not finalized at the time of publication of the report. Vendors funded by venture capital firms may also be included in the report even if the venture capital firm has a financial stake in the vendor's company.
