Crain’s Best Places to Work, in partnership with Best Companies Group, identifies and recognizes the top employers benefiting New York City’s economy and workforce, while demonstrating outstanding workplace culture.

In partnership with Best Companies Group, Crain’s compiled a list recognizing the top 100 organizations demonstrating outstanding workplace achievements in New York City. The companies on the list span a range of industries, including accounting, engineering, finance, law and tech. Each shares a commitment to creating a supportive, collegial and empowering workplace and received this honor because of their outstanding working conditions, benefits and corporate culture.
Companies across New York City’s five boroughs participated in the two-part survey process to determine the winners. The rankings are based on a calculation that involves the weighting of employee experience surveys (75 percent) and an employer questionnaire (25 percent) evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking, evaluated by Best Companies Group.
The winners will be divided into three categories—small, mid-size and large— based on the number of New York-area employees, and the numerical rankings for each group will be announced at a celebratory luncheon on Friday, November 30. The final ranking of the top 100 will be announced in print and online on December 3.
