Frame.io Announces TPN Compliance

Frame.io is now compliant with the MPAA and CDSA Trusted Partner Network, which ensures high-value media and data are protected from leaks, hacks, or theft

NEW YORK--()--Frame.io, the leading video collaboration platform for video teams, today announced it is TPN (Trusted Partner Network) compliant. A joint venture between two major entertainment industry associations, the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and the CDSA (Content Delivery and Security Association), TPN “is a new, global, industry-wide film and television content protection initiative.” Designed specifically for the media industry, the TPN provides a set of requirements and best practices around preventing leaks, breaches, and hacking of pre-released, high-valued media content.

“Securing our customers' content doesn't just matter, it’s everything,” said Emery Wells, co-founder and CEO of Frame.io. “That's why becoming a member of TPN was an important milestone in our security roadmap. The content of our customers is the lifeblood of their businesses and livelihood. When you use Frame.io for your video collaboration work, you can be certain your media and data are secure, from capture to delivery.”

As part of earning TPN compliance, Frame.io underwent a rigorous audit process from an independent third-party auditor who was vetted and trained in securing pre-release entertainment content by the TPN itself. The audit, performed with content security in mind, included the examination of physical security, asset management, content life-cycle, enterprise security, risk assessment, vulnerability management, security operations and incident response, policy & procedures, human resources processes, and most importantly, Frame.io's cloud infrastructure.

“Obtaining TPN certification reaffirms our relentless commitment to the security and privacy of our customers and their data,” states Wells. As an open body, TPN allows any of Frame.io’s existing or potential customers to request a copy of its audit report.

“Achieving TPN status is a major milestone for Frame.io. Our team has been working tirelessly for over a year on this,” comments Abhinav Srivastava, Head of Information Security at Frame.io. “With the advent of high-profile security attacks in the entertainment industry in recent years, working with a TPN-compliant vendor is no longer an option, it's an absolute necessity. Given that TPN is all about content protection, knowing Frame.io is TPN-compliant will offer peace of mind to our customers who are concerned about the security of their media.”

Frame.io's mission is to “Power the world's video creation” by building the industry-standard platform that centralizes creators with their content, collaborators, and audience. Learn more about how Frame.io is delivering on its security promise on the Frame.io blog.
