ANAHEIM, Calif.--()--National Technical Systems, Inc. (“NTS”), the leader in qualification testing, inspection, and certification solutions in North America, is pleased to announce the expanded capacity and new testing capabilities at its Anaheim laboratory.

NTS Anaheim is widely considered the industry leader in micro-sectional analysis—the most widely accepted means for analyzing the integrity of printed circuit boards. To expand on its leadership position, the Anaheim facility purchased new grinding and polishing systems for high-quality specimen preparation. The new Struers Tegramin systems double the lab’s testing capacity, allowing it to handle a greater volume of testing with better quality and faster lead times.

In response to customer needs in the space and military sectors, NTS Anaheim also added a new hot/cold testing chamber. The new equipment achieves the integration of temperature extremes with stress and strain testing from -185°C to up to 250°C range. In addition, the equipment is able to withstand up to 30,000 pounds of tensile compression and other stresses that are applied between the extreme temperatures, making it valuable for evaluating the integrity of materials and additive manufactured components for use in launch and space applications.

“We’re excited to expand our capacity to serve customers with faster turnaround times,” said Russell Shepherd, General Manager at NTS Anaheim. “NTS Anaheim continues to merge best-in-class technology with thought leadership to ensure our customers deliver trusted products to the market.”

NTS Anaheim specializes in electronics and materials conformance, qualification, and reliability testing to all levels of the supply chain. It provides the highest level of support and services to commercial, military aerospace, medical, aerospace, and automotive markets across the globe. The laboratory is fully certified under UL’s Third-Party Test Data Program (TDTDP), Data Acceptance Program (DAP), and Client Agent Program (CAP). It is also A2LA and ISO 17025 accredited—and a recognized IPC training center.
